Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Cookies are small pieces of data that websites store in your browser. KudoClip uses cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) in three categories. You can accept or decline non-essential categories via the consent banner on first visit, or change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the marketing footer.
1. Essential cookies (always on)
These keep the site working. We can't turn them off and they don't require consent under most privacy laws.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Signed JWT that proves you're signed in to the dashboard. | 24 hours, refreshing |
| authjs.csrf-token | Anti-cross-site-request-forgery token for sign-in flows. | Session |
| kudoclip_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie consent choice so we don't re-ask every visit. | 1 year |
2. Analytics cookies (consent required)
These help us understand how visitors find KudoClip, which pages convert, and where the funnel leaks. They're not loaded until you accept analytics in the consent banner.
| Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog | Product analytics — page views, signup funnel, feature usage. | posthog.com/privacy |
| Google Analytics 4 | Marketing analytics — traffic sources, content engagement. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Meta Pixel | Ad attribution for paid Instagram / Facebook campaigns. | facebook.com/privacy/policy |
3. Marketing cookies
We don't use third-party advertising cookies. (The Meta Pixel above is technically marketing-related but its purpose for us is measuring our own ad performance, not serving ads.)
Changing your choice
Open the “Cookie preferences” link in the marketing footer to flip analytics on or off. Declining analytics doesn't affect your ability to use the Service.
